Extra mortgage costs 4th May 2008
There are a few potential extra cost you will want to take into consideration when arranging a mortgage. You may have to pay an application fee which could easily cost anything between £200 and £600. Unfortunately some lenders use this as a way to manipulate the best offer tables, for example they may appear to offer the lowest interest rates but when you take their application fee into account,. it may not work out to be such a good deal. Many lenders will be reluctant to lend money for a propety before a structual survey has been carried out, the reason for this is they have a financial interest in the property and therefore want to ensure it's going to at least stand up!
